'Royal Hawaiian Porte Cochiere', from our featured beachboy artist, Aaron Char captures the grand entry to the iconic pink palace with a look at a scene from the early days in the roaring twenties and early thirties. The Royal Hawaiian, completed and opened in 1927, was frequented by celebrities and world dignitaries, with the likes of Doris Duke, Shirley Temple, Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio, Duke Kahanamoku, famed US presidents, and also known as a military R & R hub during World War II.

Aaron has been working on the beach with Waikīkī Beach Services for over a decade, and captures the true essence of aloha and Waikīkī in his imagery. With a special appreciation for the history of the Royal Hawaiian and beachboy lineage, he creates these images out of a true love for working on the beach right out front of the pink palace, and sharing this aloha with guests daily. Find him in the water, down at the Royal Hawaiian beach desk, or under the umbrella with his sketch book creating inspired images of daily beachboy life.

Choose from an array of sizes, of these colorful matted prints on fine archival paper, or canvas art giclees to bring the Royal Hawaiian, and memories of your time there to your home or office walls.
